- When your child is born, you can start cleaning your child’s gums with a soft cloth and water
- As soon as your child starts developing teeth, you can brush them with a soft-bristled toothbrush
- When a child is under the age of two, we recommend adding a small “smear” of toothpaste to the soft bristled toothbrush
- When a child is between 2-5 years old, we recommend a pea-sized amount of toothpaste to the soft bristled toothbrush
- A parent should brush a child’s teeth until the parent is confident that the child can manage and do a sufficient job on their own
